Senior/Principal FBAR Filter Design Engineer

This position based in Singapore&China. 

Job description: 

As part of the MEMS filter design team, the candidate plays a key design role in development and commercialization of MEMS bulk acoustic wave filter for consumer electronics from new concept design, verification to mass production. 

The candidate will be responsible as a product owner for resonator/filter (including LC circuit) design simulation and optimization, as well as supporting test characterization and failure analysis activities to improve the yield of filter products. 

The position requires a strong track record in ramping up BAW filter to high-volume production, and experience with BAW filter design, layout, simulation, fabrication, and characterization. Solid understanding of acoustic wave filter with ability to correlate fabrication and design, hands-on characterization skills and excellent communication skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

- Co-working with international team including China, Singapore and Europe on a cross-disciplinary team basis 

- Design and development of high-end resonator structures, quality factor optimization of MEMS designs with supported Fab support  

- Produce 4G, 5G Filter design, able to generate layout cell, perform simulation and modelling, optimization based on user requirement. 

Qualifications/Desired skills: 

- Track record in commercialization, ramp-up and high-volume production of BAW filters 

- Broad understanding of RF analog component performance characterization via Smith Chart, tuning via passives, etc 

- Extremely familiar with the basic device physics and have the ablity to use advanced modeling techniques to design filters.  

- Strong skill in EM modeling and RF simulation tools Solid background in resonator/filter design, simulation, finite element analysis, layout, and package design - Experience in RFIC design, RF module and front-end system design is a plus. 

- Good understanding of filter application and MEMS fabrication 

Education/Experience: 

- Education MS or higher Ph.D. preferred 

- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in BAW field, preferably in a high-volume production environment
