Wuhan MEMSonics BAW filter has made significant progress

According to Memes Consulting, recently, Wuhan MEMSonics  Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan MEMSonics") announced that the company had completed the research and development work of aluminum nitride (AlN) thin-film FBAR filters products such as WiFi2.4, B40, and B41. The main research and development work is expected to achieve mass production by the end of 2022. Wuhan Memsonics mainly focuses on new 5G product based on highly doped Scandium Aluminum Nitride (ScAlN), and has successfully developed BAW filters suitable for 5G frequency bands such as N77 and N79.

As a fast-growing, high-tech company, Wuhan MEMSonics has developed a high-end BAW filter in less than a year, thanks to the company's excellent product R&D team. The company adheres to an independent technical route for its high-end RF filter, and has built a substantial intellectual property portfolio.  

By the end of 2021, Wuhan Memsonics has gathered investments exceeding millions RMB. Determined to become one of the best RF filter manufacturer in China, Wuhan Memsonics is actively pursuing a proprietary production line. In August 2021, Wuhan Memsonics signed  a strategic cooperation agreement with Silex Microsystems, a world leading MEMS foundry, to jointly build an 8-inch RF filter production line. The two parties would jointly invest in process equipment, labor and to closely cooperate to establish a domestic leading production line. By combining Wuhan Memsonics’s proprietary process technology capabilities with Silex’s mature production & operation experience, the formation of this 8-inch RF filter production line will accelerate the mass production of high-end filters in China. It is expected that by the end of 2022, this production line will be ready and reach a production capacity in range of 2000 wafers per month.
